A RESEARCH REPORT
The research report illuminates the painting by Jacopo de Barbari (1495) showing Luca Pacioli with a student.
Our goal was to gain insight into the conception of perspective paintings at the end of the 15 th century.
The pictorial space of the painting was captured by means of geometric image analysis and transferred into a three-dimensional experimental setup.
For the investigation on the hanging glass polyeder, wich is obiously half filled with water, this polyeder was reconstructed on a scale of 1: 1.
